Dear parents,
Welcome to another school year at Elm Street! (And an especially warm welcome to our two new students, Aidan B and Carson!)
September always brings the beginning of new adventures and relationships. Our names are Mme Carolyn Rowe- Turner and M. Terry Couture and we have the pleasure of teaching your child this year. Your child is in class 2C. Our new family has 19 students and two teachers. It goes without saying that you are an important part of our new family. It is with your support, participation and open communication that we are all going to have the best school year ever.
We are going to have a year full of wonderful learning opportunities in all our different subjects. During our meet the teacher night on Tuesday, September 13th, 2011, we will answer all of your questions about homework routine and classroom expectations.
In the first few weeks of school, we will spending a lot of time building relationships in class and getting to know each other. It is extremely important that everyone in class feels that they are in a safe learning and nurturing environment.
